How to start a journey on the Oasis of the Seas cruise ship
Since childhood, I dreamed of seeing a large ship, I always thought it was something fantastic. How can such a huge ship as high as a twelve-story building float on the water and sail on the sea? But reality surpassed all my expectations and having bought a ticket for a cruise ship called "Oasis of the Seas", on which I went on a cruise in the Caribbean, it turned out to be not just a ship, but one of the largest sea liners in the world! It is several times larger than the famous "Titanic" and is a city with streets, parks with trees, many restaurants, swimming pools and other entertainment facilities for people of all ages.
Boarding passengers on a cruise ship reminded me of boarding a plane: a huge terminal, check-in counters, baggage drop off.
At check-in, each passenger was given a plastic card, which during the cruise was the main document, cabin key and payment method. While waiting for my turn to board, I saw tens of tons of provisions being loaded onto the ship for the whole seven days of the cruise, just imagine how much food, water and drink is needed for the full functioning of the ship during this time.

On the ship, as it later became clear during further communication, there were passengers of all language groups and countries of the world, it was interesting to find themselves in the same cruise city with all these people.
Our cabin had an exit to a balcony overlooking the local inner street, there were two of them on the ship: the Boardwalk and the Royal promenade.
So, we leave the port with a deafening welcoming signal of the trumpets and safely set off on the large cruise ship Oasis of the Seas on a sea voyage.
During the week we visited Haiti, Jamaica, Mexico. Between the stops were the so-called "days at sea", when the ship plowed the vast seas, and there were no signs of land for days on end. On such days, the team of the website travel-picture.ru conducted an excursion of the ship, we managed to visit almost everywhere except the engine room and the captain's bridge, we were not allowed there. On the third day of sailing, we discovered a huge fitness center with exercise equipment and a track marked for miles around the entire deck of the cruise ship, you can run and admire the endless expanses of the ocean, it's an amazing feeling!
We also went out on the bow of the deck like in the movie Titanic and presented this scene, of course the wind blew into your mouth and nose with great force, so you won't be busy with romance for a long time. On the 13th deck, we found a children's center for up to 15 years. We were not allowed to take pictures, as children could get into the frame, and this is prohibited. The center has entertainment for all types of age, these are huge teddy bears and game consoles for big children, mostly kids about 30 years old played the console.
On the upper decks of the cruise ship numbered 15 and 16, active entertainment for tourists was concentrated, it is here that a whole world of pools and even a surfing pool, several jacuzzis, a golf course, and a basketball court are located.
There was no daily routine on the Oasis of the Seas cruise ship, everyone planned their time as they wanted, and in the evening the schedule of the next day was brought to our cabin in the form of the local newspaper “CruiseCompas” with a full program of shows and other events with the indication of the time, it was by the way, we could plan their day in advance. Therefore, we managed to skate and climb like climbers on the wall and jump on a bungee.
Great pleasure was given to the central park, an exact copy of the park located in New York, there are many living trees and vegetation, including rare species. And along the park there are chic restaurants and even a wine bar “Vintages”. And on the promenade, there are many round-the-clock cafes, so this ship won't let you take care of your figure, unless of course you drop by the fitness center.
Landing from the Oasis of the Seas cruise ship
As we wrote, we had three stops: Haiti, Jamaica and Mexico. The cruise ship stayed early in the morning and departed in the evening, so we had about 8 hours left to explore the local attractions. In Haiti, we saw the local flavor of the aborigines and went to a souvenir shop. The second camp was in Jamaica, the words of a famous song were spinning on the tongue and we were singing Jamaica ...
Here we spent time walking around the city of Montego Bay and swimming in the azure water, relaxing on the sandy beach. And finally, the third stop was the island of Cozumel located in Mexico, here in the port we were met by local artists who sang the song "Katyusha", far from Russia this impressed us the most.
Nightlife of the sea liner Oasis of the Seas
In the evening after sunset, the nightlife began on the Oasis of the Seas. All tourists dressed as if there was a ball on a ship: men in tuxedos, and women in chic dresses and expensive jewelry, in general, nothing has changed since the time of the Titanic. This is where women could walk all of their evening gowns for all occasions.
Unusual dishes were prepared in restaurants; before dinner, a real carnival was held on the main street. The crews of each cruise ship service, not just animators, chefs, bartenders and others, dressed up in costumes and put on shows with live music and acrobats. A sumptuous dinner was served in the central multi-level restaurant Opus, and a Russian menu was personally handed out for us. From the menu were presented: fruit soups with mango and melon, lobsters, tender shrimps, snails, crabs.
In the evening, we very often attended performances, although they were in English, it was worth visiting them, it is enough just to look at this spectacle and get emotions. A very large concert hall with 1,500 seats was located on the 4th deck, where the Broadway show "Hairspray" was given, with bright decorations and a comedy plot, acrobats performed tricks, and also sang gorgeous.
Blaze nightclub, Bоleros dance club, OnAir club, these are just a few of the clubs where young people can come off.
Absolutely everything on a cruise ship amazes you, this is the service of the staff, it is worth leaving the cabin for a while and order has already been restored there. In the restaurant, two waiters always serve you, one takes an order, gives advice on the menu, the other entertains guests, answers questions, brings drinks and behaves as if we are the most important guests on this ship, is that where you saw this in Russia?
