We spent two weeks here and we liked everything - the weather, the sea, the sun.
October Adler is beautiful, the velvet season is in full swing. We will stay by the sea for the whole of November, so if a link appeared here, we still wrote a review text about the last month of autumn.
Before the trip to Adler in October, I was guided by reviews about the rest and the weather over the past year and realized that + 23 ° C warmth more than suits me. I threw T-shirts and shorts into my suitcase and now I'm here, breathing the sea.
Weather in October in Adler and Sochi
Adler = Sochi, there are only 30 kilometers between cities, the weather is no different.
The weather in October in Adler is highly variable. If at the beginning of the month tourists expect + 25 ° С during the day and the opportunity to swim in warm water, then at the end of October at night the temperature can drop to + 12 ° С ... + 15 ° С degrees, and it becomes cold.
What surprised me was that when I went out at 7 am in a sweater and shorts at + 15 ° C, an hour later I was hiding from the heat in the shade, because the air temperature jumped sharply to + 25 ° C. Therefore, at first I did not trust the weather forecast :)

Air temperature
The air temperature in Adler in October is as comfortable as possible, from +20 to +25 degrees - not hot (although no, it's hot in the open sun !!), not cold. I am writing this text on October 30, and it's sunny outside, +21. Yes, at the end of the month there is rainy weather, especially in the mountains, sometimes wind and waves rise. But in general, everything is extremely "clean" and warm.
What I understood exactly about the weather here: it changes very quickly. In the evening for today they promised 100% rainfall all day, I sit outside - and not a drop :)
Sea water temperature
Do they swim in Adler in October? Yes! Until the middle of the month, the sea temperature is kept at a comfortable +23 degrees. Even at the end of October, I watched many swimmers on a sunny day, although the water had already cooled to +21.
On the question of swimming, tourists' reviews about Adler in October are divided, and this is normal, because for one and +23 it is already cool. A bunch of times I heard screams from the water from "and the water is warm!" to "horror, cold!". Therefore, I voiced the numbers and add that I myself swam a couple of times.
By the way, at the end of October jellyfish arrive to the coast! There are so many of them that it is straight br-rr. Vacationers assured that they did not sting, and the children happily caught them with their hands - but it was still uncomfortable.
Prices for tours to Adler in October - 2021
The best part of a trip to Adler in October, along with the weather, is the cost of airfare / accommodation and tours. First, about the second.

Housing prices in Adler are falling in October - not only for apartments, but also for hotels, because there is a kind of "off-season" between summer beach and winter ski holidays.
I think that this should definitely be used! :) For example, an apartment that is rented out in the summer for 4000 rubles / day can be rented in October for 2000 rubles. It's the same with hotels - the season passes, and the most expensive hotel on the coast, Radisson Blue, costs not the sky-high 14-17 thousand per night, but the “modest” 7 thousand rubles.

On Krasnaya Polyana, we stayed in a room with a mountain view at a 4 * Courtyard by Marriott hotel for only 3,500 rubles, when the usual price is about 7,000 rubles! You go out onto the balcony in the morning, make coffee and enjoy the view with 50% discount, why isn't it cool? And the lift (namely Krasnaya Polyana, not to Rose Peak), which is free of charge thanks to the hotel, is only 50 meters away!
So, renting a house in October can be much cheaper. What else?

There is also food, cafes, restaurants, canteens - and that's all the price tag does not fall. The cost of catering in Adler is on a par with large cities in Russia.
For example, shopping at a grocery store:

What to see in Adler in autumn?
To begin with, what we personally saw in the vicinity of Adler and Sochi. There are many attractions here, especially if you are here for the first time.
1. Take an excursion to Abkhazia and add + 1 country to your piggy bank, if you have one. One day is enough, buy wine, cheeses, see Lake Ritsa. The cost starts at 1,500 rubles per person.
2. Climb to the mountains on Krasnaya Polyana - we went up twice, it's so beautiful there. Although the pleasure is not cheap, the lift to the highest point of Rosa Khutor costs 1,590 rubles per person.

3. Of course, go to Sochi in October - and see the central street, the embankment, a couple of waterfalls and the abandoned Sanatorium. Ordzhonikidze without the exhausting heat.
Advice. In Adler, you can take to car sharing - either Yandex.Drive or BelkaCar. If you decide, here are the promotional codes for the first trips - "reftz5CP2" for Yandex and "GRMO3459" for Belka.
4. Next comes Sochi Autodrom (in Adler), where Formula 1 takes place. I haven't got here yet - it's worth going there because of the race track. A tour of the autodrome costs 500 rubles, a ride on the track - from 3490 rubles.
5. Skypark - entertainment that I do not understand, when you pay a lot of money to jump from a height. Thank you, but in life there are also enough extreme falls (figuratively) :)) The cost of a Bungy 207 jump, if you buy a ticket in advance, is 15 600 rubles; the usual price is 18,000 rubles.
Advice. If you want to jump, grab your ticket a couple of weeks before your trip online on the official website.
6. Sochi Park Is the number one amusement park in Russia. If you have been to PortAventura in Spain, the Sochi park will not interrupt your impressions. If not, then it's time to try! A ticket for an adult is 1900 rubles, for a child 1700 rubles.
7. Olympic Park - and its objects. In general, this is a huge pedestrian space with "folk" entertainment in the form of Singing Fountains in the evenings. It's worth going for a walk once, it's free.
8. If you decide to wave somewhere out of the city and are ready to drive about 300 km in one direction, there is a route with interesting and unbroken locations:
- Dry cargo ship RIO, which ran aground near Gelendzhik 2 years ago and is still at rest there;
- Cypress lake
- The Semigorya estate with vineyards - you can also spend the night right there.
Advice. You can rent a car on the Myrentacar website, a car starts at 1,500 rubles per day.
Excursions in Adler
Prices drop in October, starting from the middle of the month, and excursions can be negotiated cheaper.
I will indicate seasonal prices for the most popular excursions - starting from them, you can bargain:
- To Krasnaya Polyana - 1300 rubles
The excursion includes a lift on the cable car, but this is not Rosa Khutor, it is for an additional fee of 700-1000 rubles - Abkhazia - 1500 rubles
Paid options include Stalin's dacha (200 rubles) and the New Athos cave (500 rubles) - Sochi sightseeing tour - 700 rubles
- Jeep tour through the canyon - 1500 rubles
- Horseback riding - 1400 rubles

Holidays with children in October
Adler in October is filled with children - they scream, run, literally lie on all sides. On this I could probably finish, but I will add a few more points what you can do here with your child.
There are a lot of playgrounds for children on the beach and promenade in the Nizhneimeretinskaya Bay of Adler (I showed a couple in a video review on YouTube about the beaches of Adler), but in general there are other activities:

My review about Adler and Sochi in October
While the weather in Kazan (at home) was rapidly deteriorating, we decided to leave the rest in Adler in October. The choice was right. I hope when you read this article in 2021, this very choice of where to fly has become a little more :)
The number of rainy days in Adler in October is about 7, but it happens that in the evening you resign yourself to a 90% probability of rain tomorrow, and in the morning it turns into an hour-long rain and bright sun after. But seriously, in the 2 weeks we were here, it rained only once, and then before lunchtime.
I personally like the sea in Adler in October, but swimming is comfortable only in the first half of the month. I tried to go into the water on the 20th - gradually you get used to the water, but it’s not even the temperature of the water that is annoying, but the jellyfish of different sizes. They don't seem to sting, but swimming among them is unpleasant.
We stopped in the area of the Adler port, but then we reached the end of the Nizhneimeretinskaya bay (closer to the border with Abkhazia), and I was surprised at the number of tourists at the end of October - oh, a lot of people. Look at the photo, taken on the 30th.
The bay is good because here you can walk along the embankment or rent bicycles / scooters, the road runs through the entire coast, there is a specially designated area for bicycles. We use the Urent app, but there are many others here.
Should you go to Adler in October?
The resorts of the Krasnodar Territory and the Black Sea are a great way to extend the summer, or warm autumn, for a couple of months. Or at least for a week.
October in Adler is a favorite month for locals, perhaps because there are fewer tourists, and perhaps because the heat is subsiding, and you can still swim. And I think they can be trusted in this matter! Therefore: should I go to Adler in October? I advise you to take your tickets right now! Well, where - you know, on Aviasales 🙂
