It will not work to save money in the capital of Hungary by visiting the museums of Budapest for free: for some time now they have become paid. Unlike London or Berlin, there are almost no free museums in Budapest. As a rule, almost all museums in Budapest open their doors to visitors during the Hungarian national holidays: March 15, August 20 and October 23.

Some museums can be entered for free with Budapest Cardand others if you have an ISIC card.

For persons under 26 and children under 18 (no more than two relatives as accompanying persons), some museums are allowed to visit their expositions free of charge only 1 day a month.

However, in the museums of Budapest, various discounts are constantly operating - it is better to find out information about the conditions on the official websites of the museums.

Since Budapest is not rich in free museums, we advise you to purchase the Budapest Card. Thanks to it, you can use public transport for free, visit museums and excursions, as well as receive many discounts on various activities and entertainment.
