The city of Perm is home to many great people. Also, residents of the city took an active part in protecting their native land from German invaders, many died. Monument to the heroes of the front and rear
Located near the Drama Theater, installed in 1985. The monument is dedicated to the victory in the Great Patriotic War, the feat of the army and people in defending the homeland. The monument is made in the form of three figures: a worker, a warrior, and the Motherland. They are the same size and this shows an equal feat. This monument is a joint work of sculptor V. M. Klykov, designer B. S. Gurvich, architects R. I. Serdzhiev and V. Snegirev.
"The Legend of the Perm Bear"
Now the monument is located opposite the Central Department Store, before that it was located next to the Philharmonic. Its opening took place in 2006. The monument weighs over 2 tons and is made of bronze. Here the bear is presented in the form of a majestic and respectable animal, like the real master of the Siberian taiga. His nose and ears are carefully polished, there is a belief: if you rub them, your cherished desire will come true.
"Perm Gate"
This is a kind of symbol of the city, which was created in 2011. Located in the park of the 250th anniversary of Perm, not far from the station. The sculpture resembles a triumphal arch, or a huge letter "P". The material of manufacture is spruce logs, the height of the object is 12 meters. The work was designed by the artist Nikolai Polissky.
"Kama-river"
The monument was erected in 2010 on Lenin Street. Mikhail Vasev, Dmitry Postnikov, Alexander Suvorov worked on its creation. The materials used were metal and Kungur limestone. The sculpture is made in the form of five limestone pillars, which are decorated with metal inserts in the form of birds, animals, as well as various letters. Its height is over 4 meters.
"Happiness is not far away"
This art object is located on the embankment of the Kama River next to the river station. It was created by artist Boris Matrosov in 2005 for a landscape festival, and in 2017 the object was transferred to municipal ownership. This sculpture is made of plywood and painted red. The art object is about 2 meters high.
"Permyak salty ears"
Recognized as the strangest monument in Russia. Located near the hotel "Prikamye". Installed it in 2006. And it was created by the architect Rustam Ismagilov. The monument consists of two parts. It features a photographer's figure and a large-ear frame that you can place your face in. The nickname "Perm salty ears" is associated with the salt industry. This was the name of those who carried bags of salt on their shoulders. Because of this, their ears were red and enlarged.
Monument to the Plumber
Located next to Gorky Park. It was created in 2006 by the famous architect Rustam Ismagilov specially for the 120th anniversary of the city water supply system. The sculpture consists of 3 parts. The first part is the figure of the plumber, which is key here. The second part is a water pipe, and there is a symbolic valve here. And the third is a shell, showing the thoughts of a plumber.
"Coward, Goonies and Experienced"
The sculpture is located on the square next to the Kristall cinema. It is made of bronze, installed in 2010. Represents comic characters from Gaidai's comedies. Films with their participation were shot in Soviet times, but even now they do not lose their popularity. The sculpture depicts the comic trinity from the film "Prisoner of the Caucasus". They are made in full growth.
Monument to V.N.Tatishchev
Opened in 2003 in honor of the 280th anniversary of the city. Vasily Tatishchev is not only a famous statesman, famous writer, geographer, but also the founder of Perm. The monument is cast from bronze and is depicted at full height, and the stepped base is made of granite. It is a figure with a cape on the shoulders, at the corners of which are cannonballs, two mortars.
Monument to V. Lenin
The monument is located in the center of the theatrical square opposite the theater. The monument was unveiled in 1954. The authors of the monument are sculptor Georgy Neroda and artist Ivan Taranov. Made of bronze and presented in full height. The pedestal is made of red granite, and the inscription "Lenin" is made of black granite.
Monument to the Ural Volunteer Corps
The memorial was inaugurated in 1963. Dedicated to the Volunteer Tank Corps, which was part of the Ural Tank Corps. The creators of the monument: sculptor I. Shardakov, architect A. Shorina. The memorial consists of 3 elements. The first is a T-34 tank mounted on a pedestal. The second is a stele slab. And the third element is a wall with a relief.
Monument to A. Pushkin
The monument was made in 1983 by sculptors V. Klykov and M. Futlik, but it was installed only in 1993. It was cast in copper and fixed to a concrete foundation and plinth. The sculpture is depicted full-length, wearing a cloak and top hat. On the north side, there are columns-walls, on which heroes of fairy tales are depicted. These columns were previously damaged by vandals, but they were restored in 2013.
Memorial "Warrior-winner"
It was installed in 1985. The memorial consists of a stele, 2 cannons, a concrete wall with a plaque. It is dedicated to the workers of the Motovilikhinsky plant who died fighting for the city. Their names are immortalized here. The authors of the memorial are the architect Y. Semerdzhiev, the sculptor V. Klykov. Every year in front of the monument, a celebration is held on May 9th.
"MiG on takeoff"
The monument is located at the intersection of Chkalov Street and Komsomolsky Prospect. It was inaugurated in 2014. The authors are architect Vladimir Sarkisov, designers Sergei Khudanin and Sergei Glazyrin. The sculpture is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the production of Perm aircraft engines. It is an exact copy of the MiG-31 combat aircraft.
Monument to Nicholas the Wonderworker
It is located on Cathedral Square next to the State Art Gallery. The monument was opened and consecrated in 2008. And it was created by the sculptor Vyacheslav Klykov. The monument is made of bronze. It is a full-length figure of a saint, mounted on a pedestal of red granite.
Monument to B.L. Pasternak
The monument is located in the Theater Square, installed in 2009. Its author is the famous sculptor Elena Munts. The monument is made of bronze and installed on a granite pedestal with his name engraved on it. Represents a bust. The great writer is represented here as a young youth, with a dreamy gaze directed into the distance.
"Ivan Semyonov"
It is located in the Zhelaniy public garden on Sibirskaya street. The monument is dedicated to Ivan Semenov, who is a famous literary character. He is a famous second grader and second year student. The sculpture was unveiled in 2003 on Knowledge Day. It is made of sandy stone and made in natural growth. The student is wearing a school uniform with a briefcase between his legs.
"To the Heroes of the Civil War"
This monument is located in the Reshetnikov public garden. Its authors are the sculptor Y. Ekubenko, architect M. Futlik. The facility was installed in 1985.The sculptural group consists of six cast iron figures that are 5 meters high. This group includes: a sailor, a nurse who supports the wounded, a machine gunner, a commissar, a Red Army soldier. The monument is installed on a stylobate faced with granite.
Traffic light monument
In 2010, a monument was erected in the city, which is made in the form of a traffic light hanging against the wall. It is located on the exterior of the regional specialized assembly and maintenance department. This is a real traffic light, which was one of the first to be installed in the city. Its installation coincided with the International Day of Traffic Lights.
Monument to the Victims of Political Repression
It is located on the western slope of the Yegoshikhinsky cemetery, next to SIZO No. 1. The place was not chosen by chance, since earlier there was an NKVD prison here. The monument is made in the form of an alarm bell belfry and a barbed wire fence. These fences were brought from the Gulag. Its height is about 6.3 meters. The author of this project is architect Mikhail Futlik. The monument was erected in 1996 with donations from residents.
"Scarab beetle"
The opening of this art object took place in 2011. It is located in the Park of Stones, which is located next to the railway station. The author of this sculpture is Moldakul Narymbetov. It is a large rubber ball more than three meters high and a scarab beetle trying to roll it. The material is old car tires. It is a symbol of the environmental problems of our time.
Monument to Dr. Grail
The monument was opened in 2003. It was installed in a public garden next to the city clinical hospital. The monument is dedicated to the famous philanthropist doctor. In the late 17th - early 19th centuries he treated people in the district at his own expense. He was also a forensic physician, military medical expert and supervised educational institutions. The sculpture is cast in bronze and has a height of 4.5 meters. It is located on a cast-iron pedestal.
Monument to A. Popov
The monument was opened in 2013 on the City Day. This is a project of sculptor A. Matveev, architects D. Lapshin and E. Koltsova. The monument is made of bronze and is presented at full height. Its height is 5 meters. In addition to the famous scientist, there is a picture of a transmitter and a receiver. After all, Alexander Popov is a famous physicist and inventor of radio. Here he is depicted at the age of 18 after graduating from seminary.
Bust of F.E.Dzerzhinsky
The monument was erected in 1977 in the park of the same name opposite the building of the district administration. The author of this project is A. Uralsky. The monument is made of cement, covered with bronze and installed on a high pedestal. Its height is about 3.5 meters. It is made in the form of a shoulder-length bust. It depicts the great revolutionary and political figure Felix Dzerzhinsky.
Memorial complex on Vyshka mountain
The complex is located at the highest point of the city, on the Vyshka mountain. It is a memorial, which consists of three parts. The first part is a monument dedicated to the revolutionaries of 1005, erected in 1920. The second part is the burials that were made in 1929-1975. The third is a diorama museum and exhibition. In 1963, the fire of Eternal Glory was lit.
"Apple"
The sculpture is located in front of the Gorky Library in the central flower bed, it was installed in 2010. The author of this work was the artist Zhanna Kadyrova. The sculpture is a bitten apple. From above it is covered with green tiles. And inside there are bricks, which are the remains of old walls. There is no unified interpretation of this monument.
Bust of D. Mamin-Sibiryak
The monument was opened in 1974 on Cathedral Square next to the art gallery. Its creators are the architect M. Futlik and the sculptor A. The height of the monument is 3 meters, it is made of copper. It is made in the form of a bust, which is installed on a granite pedestal. The sculpture is dedicated to the famous playwright and writer Dmitry Mamin-Sibiryak. In his works, he often described Perm.
"Broken Brotherhood"
The composition is located on the alley of the square named after the Soviet Army. It was opened in 1994. Consists of 4 figures that depict soldiers who have lost their comrades. Made of cast iron. The pedestal is a five-pointed concrete star lined with red granite. On the south side there is a prism: “Afghanistan. 1979-1989 ". Around this sculpture there are marble slabs with the names of the fallen heroes-internationalists.
Monument to Peter and Fevronia
The monument was inaugurated in 2013. Installed at the intersection of Sibirskaya and Polina Osipenko streets in the "Three generations" park. It is dedicated to Saints Peter and Fevronia. They are considered the patrons of family ties and love. During their lifetime, they were an example of love, loyalty, and a strong family. The author of the project is the sculptor K. Chernyavsky. The monument represents Peter and Fevronia in 16th century clothing. They are cast in bronze and installed on a small pedestal.
Armored boat AK-454
The monument was erected in 1974 on May 9 near the entrance of the Kama plant. It is a combat armored boat that took part in battles in the Great Patriotic War. Installed on a gray marble plinth, its length is 20 meters. This sculpture is dedicated to the memory of the factory workers who died heroically fighting for their homeland. There are marble slabs with the names of the deceased near the monument.
